Hey Guys!!!
Wow God is sooo amazing:) Im now ending week 8 of my time here in Mozi Africa. Its been crazy awesome. I updated last on week three so alot has happened since then. Weve had more amazing speakers sharing their hearts and stories and leaving us with precious jewels pushing us further into our destinies a sons and daughters of the most high God.
The past couple of weeks Papa God has been truly wrecking me with who I am in Him in many ways. We had a speaker Jason Lee Jones from Georgia here for a couple of weeks. He is an amazing worship leader who carries the Fathers heart to see us walk in Sonship and enter into the realms of heaven that we were made for. In one of His classes that week He taught on the spirit of adoption and shared His story of the adoption of His 2 precious babies. At the end of class He had us all stand and He began to read the court order finalizing the adoption. Him and his wife rewrote it as if it we Father God was finalizing His adoption and us becoming His children. It was such a powerful moment and that was defiantly a turning point of breakthrough in the school for me personally.
After this a couple of days later I head into the bush bush with my color group. I was kind of nervous because being in the bush bush is way out of my comfort zone in many ways. So let me expand on the bush bush. So basically each weekend they send 3 teams into 3 different villages some reached some unreacted. We all load up into big trucks some with covers some with none and journey anywhere from 2 to 12 hours away on bumpy dirt roads to spend a couple of days basically living in tents in the heart of the village loving on the children and the people, praying for the sick and preaching the gospel through the Jesus film that is in the local language of the village normally macooa or macandi. Those two days were full of lots of dirt and uncomfortable heat but abounding in the most beautiful children and families ive ever encountered and was definitely the highlight of my time here in Africa thus far.
Our team, the red color group went 4 hours away to a beautiful village and saw the mighty hand of the Lord move in ways that were mind blowing and unreal at times. So the first night we arrive at the village to a crowd of people that were waiting to see the Jesus film and receive prayer. It was wild to see so many people hungry for a touch from God. So we quickly set up our tents and prepare for the Jesus film. After the film we did ministry time to pray for the sick and for those who wanted to receive Jesus into there hearts. Many came forward but it was hard to know what we were praying for because we only had a couple of translators. Luckily hand motions and the few phrases learned in macooa got the point across. Praise God that he can move and heal regardless of our human weaknesses such as language barriers. Almost everyone I prayed for that night got healed or received Jesus but my favorite testimony was that of a mama and her baby. So at the beginning of the ministry time my stomach had started hurting really bad and i didn't know why but I felt to just keep praying for people. One of the Mamas came to me and she had her baby with here rapped in a capulana. I asked how i could pray and she pointed to the babies stomach. I laid hands and began to pray for the baby to be healed of whatever was wrong since i didn't really know what was wrong. As i began to pray the pain in my stomach started to leave and by the end of the prayer it was completely gone. At once the baby wakes up and wants to eat. I grabbed one the translators and had him ask what was wrong. The mama said the baby had a stomach issue and was in alot of pain so much so it hadnt eaten in days but as i prayed the baby woke up and ate for the first time in 3 days.
Over the next 2 days we went door to door through the village and saw many healed and saved and touched by the love of God. My favorite was the children. I truly fell in love with them and didn't want to leave at all. I taught them how to draw butterflies in the sand and how to thumbs up for pictures. It was a blast just stopping for the one and rolling in the dirt with these beautiful jewels of Gods heart. The last day we met with the chief and queen of the village and i had the privilege of sharing how grateful and honored we were to be welcomed in to there village and how God was doing many things there. The chief ended up giving Iris a peace of land in that village to build a church. This was such a great and mighty thing for that village and Im so excited to see what God does through the ongoing transformation of hearts and minds in that beautiful place. As we left that saturday afternoon prolly around 50 children from the village chased the camion yelling " Thumbs up hayli, thumbs up!" I cried so hard because I just wanted to stay and love and live in that village. I fell in love with bush bush and my heart will never recover.
With 2 weeks of class left and 4 weeks of my stay here in Africa I have an expectant heart that God isn't finished and He has so much still in store here for all of us students and for this beautiful country. Thanks for all your prayers and support and feel free to email me any words or dreams or any prayer requests.
Much love ,Hayli Dover
